Summary

House of Purple is designed with privacy at its core. Your music, contacts, and personal data stay on your computer. We only collect what's necessary to provide the service.

What We Collect

• Account Information: Email address associated with your license key
• Usage Data: Message counts for plan limits (not message contents)

What Stays Local

• Your music files, SQLite database, contacts, repertoire, and indexed folders
• OAuth tokens for Spotify/Google stored in the desktop app on your device

What Passes Through Our Servers

• Chat messages — forwarded to Anthropic for AI replies; we do not persist message contents in our database
• License validation — your license key and usage counters
• OAuth token exchange — when you connect integrations (requires an active license)

How House of Purple Works

House of Purple runs locally on your computer. Your data is stored in a local SQLite database that never leaves your machine. When you send a message:

1. The message is sent to our server for API authentication
2. We forward it to Claude (Anthropic) for processing
3. The response comes back to your app
4. We do not store or log message contents

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude): AI processing. See their privacy policy

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your account at any time
• Export your local data (it's just a SQLite file)
• Request information about what we store
